Does this prove my site is accessible or ADA/WCAG compliant?

No. This is an automated check, and automated tools only catch a portion of accessibility problems — research puts it at roughly a third to a half. They cannot judge whether content makes sense, whether the keyboard order is logical, or what the real screen-reader experience is like. Treat a clean result as a good sign, not a certificate. Genuine compliance needs manual testing and, where it matters, an expert audit.

Which standard and rules do you test against?

We use axe-core, the open-source engine behind many professional tools, and run the WCAG 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 rule sets at Levels A and AA — including colour contrast (1.4.3), non-text content / alt text (1.1.1), info and relationships (1.3.1), name-role-value (4.1.2), link purpose (2.4.4) and more. Each finding is mapped to its specific success criterion.

Is my data or the pages I scan stored anywhere?

No. We fetch the public page, run the scan in memory and return the report to your browser. Reports aren't saved to an account or database, and the AI alt-text suggestions are generated entirely on your device. Close the tab and the audit is gone.

How many pages can I scan?

The free plan checks up to 3 pages from the URL you enter, following links within the same site. Full-Site Crawl (up to the page cap) and clean, unwatermarked exports are part of Pro.

Why does the alt-text AI take a moment the first time?

The alt-text suggestions reuse our on-device vision model (about 360 MB), which your browser downloads once and then caches. After that it runs locally — on your GPU when available, otherwise your CPU — with no upload and no API call. It's the same engine as the free AI Alt-Text Generator.

Can you scan a page behind a login?

No. We only load public pages and we don't forward cookies or credentials. Pages that require sign-in, or that block automated browsers, can't be scanned.

Why did a page fail to scan?

Individual pages can time out, block bots, or return errors — when that happens we skip just that page and keep going, and list what was skipped. One bad page never stops the rest of the audit.
