Accessibility & Alt-Text Audit

Scan a live web page against WCAG 2.1/2.2 (A & AA), see every issue mapped to its success criterion with a plain-English fix, and generate alt text for missing images with on-device AI.

We fetch and scan the public page you enter — nothing from your device is uploaded or stored.

The scan starts exactly at this URL. On a large site, enter a section URL (e.g. yoursite.com/blog) to focus the audit there.

Full-Site Crawl (Pro)

The free plan scans up to 3 pages from this URL. Upgrade to scan up to 25 pages with Full-Site Crawl.

We scan public pages only, respect robots.txt, and never sign in or send cookies. Nothing is stored — reports live only in this browser tab.

⚠️ Automated accessibility testing catches only part of what matters and is not a legal compliance certification. Use this as a fast first pass, then verify with manual and assistive-technology testing.

The Accessibility & Alt-Text Audit scans any public web page for WCAG 2.1/2.2 issues — colour contrast, missing labels, heading structure and missing alt text — and offers on-device AI fixes for images; free for up to 3 pages, no account needed.

1

Paste a page URL

Enter the address of any public web page you want to check. We load it in a real headless browser — the same engine sites are built for — so the audit sees the page exactly as a visitor's browser does, including content added by JavaScript. We only scan public pages; nothing is saved.

2

We run a full WCAG scan

The page is tested against the WCAG 2.0, 2.1 and 2.2 success criteria (Levels A and AA) using the industry-standard axe-core rules — including colour contrast, form labels, link names, heading structure, language and image alt text. We crawl politely: we respect robots.txt, throttle requests and cap how many pages we visit. The free plan checks up to 3 pages.

3

Review issues mapped to WCAG

Every issue is grouped by severity and tied to the exact WCAG success criterion it fails, with the element location and a plain-English fix. You get a score per page and for the whole scan — an honest automated signal, not a legal pass/fail.

4

Fix images with on-device AI

For images missing good alt text, the same on-device AI from our Alt-Text Generator proposes a draft caption — running entirely in your browser, never on a server. Copy individual suggestions or export the whole list, then export the full report as PDF or CSV.
