Cookie Policy

Effective date: 24 June 2026 · Last updated: 24 June 2026

Short version: we don't use tracking cookies.

Zapptic does not set advertising, analytics, or tracking cookies. We do not use cookie banners because there is nothing to consent to from us.

What is a cookie?

A cookie is a small file stored in your browser by a website. Cookies can store session state, preferences, tracking identifiers, and other information. Some cookies are essential for a site to function; others are used to track user behaviour across the web for advertising or analytics.

Cookies set by Zapptic

Our application code does not set any cookies. We do not use:

  • Analytics cookies (Google Analytics, Mixpanel, etc.)
  • Advertising or retargeting cookies
  • Social media tracking pixels
  • Session or authentication cookies (there are no accounts yet)

Browser local storage (not cookies)

Zapptic stores your theme preference (light or dark mode) in your browser's localStorage. This is different from a cookie — it stays on your device only, is never sent to our servers, and does not persist beyond your browser installation. You can clear it at any time via your browser's developer tools or settings.

Infrastructure cookies (outside our control)

Our hosting infrastructure may set strictly functional cookies as part of standard network operations — for example, for load balancing or DDoS protection. These are set at the infrastructure level, not by our application, and do not contain personal identifying information. If you use a browser extension to audit cookies, you may see these.

How to manage cookies

Because Zapptic itself sets no tracking or analytics cookies, there is nothing to opt out of on our end. If you wish to block all cookies from zapptic.com (including any infrastructure-level ones), you can do so through your browser settings. The tools will continue to function normally — they run entirely in JavaScript and do not depend on cookies.

Browser cookie controls:

  • Chrome / Edge: Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data
  • Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data
  • Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data

Future changes — Pro accounts

When Zapptic Pro launches, we will introduce a session cookie to keep you logged in to your account. This will be strictly necessary for the Pro subscription flow and will not be used for tracking or advertising. This policy will be updated before that happens.
