Terms of Service

1. What Zapptic is

Zapptic provides free, browser-based file tools — image converters, PDF tools, and more. All processing runs locally in your browser. Your files are never uploaded to our servers. No account is required to use any free tool.

2. Acceptable use

You agree to use Zapptic only for lawful purposes and in ways that do not violate the rights of others. You must not:

• Use the Service to process files you do not have the right to process
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, copy, or misappropriate the Service
• Use automated means to scrape or overwhelm the Service
• Circumvent any security or access controls

3. Your files and intellectual property

You retain all rights to any files you process using Zapptic. Because your files are processed locally and never transmitted to us, we acquire no rights, license, or interest in your files. We do not access, copy, store, or analyse your file content.

4. No warranty

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without any warranty, express or implied. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or produce a particular output quality. File conversions depend on browser capabilities and input file quality; results may vary. Use the Service for important files only after verifying the output meets your needs.

5. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Zapptic shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability for any claim arising from use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the three months preceding the claim (which for free-tier users is zero).

6. Privacy

Your use of Zapptic is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.

7. Intellectual property

The Zapptic name, logo, and website design are our property. The underlying open-source libraries used in our tools (heic2any, pdf-lib, and others) retain their respective open-source licenses. Nothing in these Terms grants you a right to use our trademarks.

8. Changes to the Service and Terms

We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the Service (for example, when Pro accounts launch). Material changes will be announced on the site. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with applicable law. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of competent jurisdiction.
