Are my photos uploaded to a server?

No. Everything runs inside your browser using the Canvas API. Your image is never sent anywhere. After the page has loaded once, the tool works fully offline.

How do I get a transparent circle (no background)?

Select Circle shape, then choose PNG or WebP as the output format. The corners outside the circle will be transparent in the exported file. Tip: PNG is the safest choice for broad compatibility.

Can I export multiple sizes at once?

Yes — tick as many sizes as you need (200×200, 400×400, 800×800, 1200×1200, or a custom size) and click Export. All sizes are generated from the same crop in one go, then downloadable individually or as a zip.

What does the zoom do?

Zoom in (higher value) to show less of the image — great for a close-up headshot. Zoom out (lower value) to show more of the photo, with the background colour filling any gap between the image edge and the crop frame. You can also scroll your mouse wheel over the preview to zoom.

What if I want a circle but the format is JPG?

JPG doesn't support transparency, so the corners outside the circle will be filled with your chosen background colour (white by default). If you need true transparency, switch to PNG or WebP.

What size should I use for a profile picture?

400×400 works well for most platforms (Twitter/X, LinkedIn, GitHub, Discord). Instagram displays profile photos at 110×110 but stores them at up to 320×320, so 400×400 is safe. If you want extra headroom, export at 800×800.
